International Call Barring Service
Back to home
A call which the subscriber of domestic mobile network operator (i.e., MCI) that is inside his/her home country (Iran) starts a phone call to/from landline or cell phone number of another country is called an international call. The international call barring service (restriction for call to 00’s foreign numbers) allows the subscriber to block the outgoing call to abroad (but it is still possible to receive incoming international call). Calling to satellite TV competition show’s phone numbers, following the URL link in seductive & cheating text messages, interaction with yellow internet sites such as dating and betting, and things like that, are often the subjects of scamming subscribers and lead to unwanted charges in their invoices. The international call barring service is a suitable solution to prevent such abuses for those who do not need international calls. By activating the international call barring service, in addition to the call, sending SMS to foreign phone numbers is also barred. Also, if you intend to go abroad, in addition to activating the international roaming service, disable the international call barring service so that you do not face any problem in establishing calls and sending SMS outside of Iran.
